Day two takes us to Madan Koi Fish Farm. This is the largest ornamental fish farm in Israel. We were simply spoiled for choice the amount of fish was endless. Here is a sample of just a few of the koi we have purchased.
The Quality of the koi has been exceptional this year. Here you will see a sample video from one of the hand pick tanks. The Kohaku and Sanke varieties in particular really did stand out with such a vibrant red colour. All these fish were purchased as we simply couldn't say no!
Also Purchased from Madan Koi which is a very popular koi the Beni Kikokuryu. These koi have a Very unique appearance there simply is no other koi which comes close to the striking colour and unique patterns. Below is an example of these unique koi.
After a very successful day buying at Madan Koi i personally cant wait to get these home. Overall the June handpick trip has more than lived up to expectations and i cant wait to be able to show off these all the beautiful Koi.

A huge thank you to all the staff at both Madan Koi and Dag noy koi farms for letting us be able to choose all these stunning koi.
Our first day hand picking takes us to Dag Noy fish farm. This farm is situated on the border on Jordan and hosts spectacular views over the Jordan valley.
Dagnoy Produces some very high quality Koi . we are always spoilt for choice when we visit this farm, and today is no exception.on arrival into the farm the expert farmers were selecting and sorting the koi to grow on for next year.
Some of the first fish we purchased were the Metallic mix of fish containing Kujaku, hariwake, matsuba and kikokuryu .
We had a super busy day selecting our fish and unfortunately didn't get time top picturing all the koi selected here are the few snaps i managed to get in between catching the fish.
For the first day it has given us some amazing koi as usual. The farm really did bring out all the stops for us and have put a huge amount of effort to bring us the very best koi they had available.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the farm for all there hard work they have put in .
Lovely weather for viewing koi today. Here are some pics of the pre visit at Madan Koi.
Entrance to the farm takes you past some of the concrete sorting ponds. These ponds are used when fish are harvested from the field ponds, and then the team of experts go into the the concrete ponds to sort the fish into various grades and sizes
From the concrete ponds once the fish have been graded they are then placed in the fish packing house. In the packing house the fish are carefully monitored and quarantined ready for shipments.
Just a few samples of the fish they had prepared for our visit.
Just touched down in Israel.
Our first view of the June 2015 hand pick fish starts tomorrow. More photos and videos will be added of the fish we will be offered tomorrow.
Plus we will post some behind the scenes images of the farms and our hand pick trip.
